Wave after wave
Wave after wave trials come
Wave after wave mercies too
Treetops bending in gusts of wind
Treetops still, grace upon grace
Rivers rise more than the banks can hold
Rivers flow quietly, melodically and calm ensues
Old-fashioned pink rose petals fall again
Old-fashioned pink rose fragrance fills the air
Memories, melancholy, moments, and loss
Memories life-giving joy, hope, help, testimony
Rocks and roots and struggles along the trench and digging
Rock, roots deep, refuge, stronghold, a mighty fortress
