“…dolce vita… sweet life”

 Dolce Vita

 (Sweet life)

Sweet life, sweetest life

Morning sun, cool evening

Dolce Vita, the veranda, chairs and table green

Laughter, dinner, sunbright day closes,

Life renews

Inside, sweet life, not a sound

Swaddled safe, breath so fine

Not a care,

The way she sees now in contrasts,

but to us colors bright- dolce vita

Weightless to us now, priceless bundle

Strolling, songbird afternoon

Summersong in the air

Cared for, abundant life

“Trusting in kind love forever and ever, it will never fail.”

So much more perceivable,

Words cannot express

Works and ways of God

Mystery called life

Dolce Vita (sweet life), Glimpse poetry by Joe Holuta

About this poemDolce Vita (sweet life) is a poem about a day with Maude, our newest granddaughter, two weeks young. The mystery of life, the continuance of family in a human being that started so tiny from microscopic DNA into a newborn. Everything new to her eyes, ears, touch, taste, and fragrance. Grace and light in the space called life. - Joe Holuta

"I saw all the works and ways of God, and it became clear to me that no one is able to grasp fully this mystery called life. Try as we might, we cannot discover what has been done under the sun. Even if the wise claim to know, they really haven’t discovered it." Ecclesiastes 8:17 VOICE
