Remember, remember, remember

Remember, remember, remember

The dogwood leaves were motionless this morning

Silent in the morning sunshine

Yesterday they danced in a slight breeze ,

Gently grasped by the smallest hand

-Holding the grandest gesture

-Life itself

Remember these early mornings remember- remember the newness of the texture of both the leaf and her joy and smile

And  the many emotions and connections being made

that wonderful little mind wanting to share it all with others around

Remember

Remember “while your young”

The Creator and life

Remember the fleeting life-

As a dogwood leaf “slips through your fingers”

Remember it all in full color and expression

Remember, remember, remember  Glimpse poetry by Joe Holuta

About this poem:  Remember, remember, remember is a poem about the fleeting time in the mornings we experienced with our granddaughter in September. Each new leaf, its texture is color, brought joy, and a smile to her- and she wanted to share it with everyone. Her new find , her new prize. O if I would just experience all of life like she did and remember, remember, remember to share the joy and the prize of each day. - Joe Holuta

Have I Ever Thanked you

Have I Ever Thanked you

My only regret is I should’ve thanked you more and when I saw your face,

I should’ve given more away-

Today - “But me? I will sing of your strength. I will awake with the sun to sing of Your loving mercy….”

Awesome each you are

Beautiful beyond description

Care-full for one another

Determined in life and work and play

Energetic in praise of one another

Friends- faithful and true to the uttermost

Gracious in spirit, thought, word, deed

Holuta’s - “so sorry you were the last one” exclaimed Eisenhower grade school teacher

Imaginative in birthday gifts and serving one another

Jealous to see good in each other’s lives and each other’s families lives

Kindness know no bounds for each other and family members

Light blazing through our deepest depths

Memory book makers

Never doubting of the love and mercy

On our minds

Passionately pursuing hopes and dreams and service

Quirky in a special unique way- in especially an interesting or appealing way

Rugged in life, skiing, learning, leaning and leading

Stunning beyond our wildest dreams or imagination

The Joy set before us

Unseen in so many of the ways they live, serve, and give to each other and friends

Valid and true in all ways-  to careers, friends and strangers

Wise as you consider your response to hard things in life as well as the beautiful and solemn

X-factor - in a situation you have had the most significant impact on the outcome - a game-changer, key factor,

Your heart our prize

Zest for life - thank you for showing enthusiasm in your relationships with each other, family, and friends/ such passion and dedication

About this poem : Have I Ever Thanked you is a poem about our children- Matthew, Jonathan, Rachel, and Emily. Thank you for making our lives bright and breathless, A-Z and just the same. - Joe Holuta

You leave us breathless

You leave us breathless.

      One new morning

            One new mercy

      One new joy

            One new breathless sunrise

      One new joy every morning

            One new leaning back

      One deep breath

            When we are breathless

One Hope of the far corners of the Earth and distant seas
